Namgay Dorji has much experience in manufacturing traditional and modern furniture and is especially skilled in carving and designing. He started learning on the job when he was in his twenties while working under a royal project.
He started his business a year ago during the pandemic since his previous career was hampered by Covid-19. He realised that there will be consistent demand for furniture as long as the furniture design is unique.
Till date, Namgay has been running his business on his own but now he aims to hire some help. His long term goal is to provide free lodging for his staff. NK Furniture will mainly focus on manufacturing modern furniture with traditional taste to raise social interest in traditional furniture while helping the youth to gain knowledge in wood works.
