Dorji Tshering founded the Himalayan Green Production, based in Jigmeling, Sarpang district, a business that initially started producing wheat and millet flour. However, with the changing dietary preferences, there has been a notable shift from rice-based meals to flour-based items, leading to an increasing demand for flour, the majority of which is currently imported. Dorji and his team aim to produce hygienic, top-quality flour because it recognizes the need to reduce our nation’s dependency on imported flour products. Furthermore, Dorji supports local farmers by procuring their grains and promotes economic growth by creating job opportunities.
