Yeshi Jamtsho is from Shaphangma, Mongar and has recently completed his high school from Drukgyel Central School. He was raised by a single mother, whose health is unstable and this further strengthened his dream to pursue in medical studies. His elder sister works as a freelance tour guide but currently unemployed due to Covid-19 and a younger brother studying in class 10. He is a brilliant student who is determined to pursue medical studies and has served as a peer helper during school where he assisted in helping students cope with mental health, addictive and abuse related issues. He achieved 81.25 % in class 12 and yet that was only enough to get a half scholarship to study MBBS. Without this scholarship, Yeshi will not be able to cover the half of his tuition fees and living expenses. He will study MBBS in Bangladesh.
