Loden was first established as an educational charity in 1999 with the Child Sponsorship Scheme,
which channeled support from generous donors to children in need of crucial support for their education including the provision of uniforms, stationery, and other school-related expenses.
The scheme has supported some 219 children from economically disadvantaged families to continue and finish school. We link generous sponsors with children in need, often recommended by local teachers or village elders, and assessed by the selection committee. See guidelines here.
