Reflections, Aspirations, and Unity: Highlights from the 2024 Loden Foundation Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of the Loden Foundation was held from 24th to 27th December 2024 in Gelephu. The meeting was attended by Lopon Dr. Karma Phuntsho, the President of the Loden Foundation, and members of the board of trustees. A total of 19 staff members, including facilitators from the Loden ECCD Centres in Ura, Norbugang, and Lingmethang, also participated in this important event. During the meeting, we also welcomed Mr. Karma Wangchuk as the new Administrative Officer of the Foundation.

The meeting served as a forum for reflection on the accomplishments and challenges of 2024 through a comprehensive review of the Annual Work Plan. It also laid the groundwork for an ambitious and actionable plan for the coming year, ensuring alignment with the Foundation’s mission and objectives. In the spirit of fostering harmony and friendship, team-building exercises were thoughtfully interwoven into the agenda, further strengthening the bonds among the members of the Loden family.

As part of this meaningful retreat, the Loden team embarked on a spiritually uplifting pilgrimage to Tharpaling Dratshang in Sarpang. There, prayers were offered for the well-being of all sentient beings, invoking blessings of peace, prosperity, and collective harmony. Such visits remind us of the deep spiritual essence underpinning the values of the Loden Foundation.

The team also had the privilege of visiting the Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC) viewpoint, accompanied by a representative from the GMC team. This visit provided an opportunity to gain a profound appreciation of His Majesty’s visionary initiative to integrate mindfulness into the heart of urban living, a project that harmoniously blends Bhutan’s spiritual heritage with contemporary aspirations.

With the conclusion of the Annual General Meeting, the Loden office has resumed regular operations under winter timing (9:00 AM to 4:00 PM). For any inquiries, please feel free to reach us at info@loden.org.

May the work of the Loden Foundation continue to inspire and illuminate pathways of knowledge, compassion, and entrepreneurship.
