Preschool

The first six years in a child’s life are the most formative period of a child’s cognitive, emotional, and social development. Early childhood is known to have a lasting impact on how children will act as grown-ups. Investing in the early childhood years can ensure generations of children who will grow up to be successful and responsible adults.

In 2008, Loden launched its
preschool
programme at the request of local communities and has since established five Early Learning Centres for children aged 3 to 5 years. Having handed over two to the government, Loden runs three free Early Learning Centres in central, eastern, and southern Bhutan.

Loden currently has 3 ELCs located in Mongar (Lingmethang), Bumthang (Ura), and Samtse (Norbugang).

Over 800 students have transitioned from these centres to mainstream schools.
