Pemba’s business provides services such as wall painting, cement and putty plastering, polishing and other home décor services for newly constructed properties and renovations. Machinery is used to provide an efficient and high-quality results. His main objective is to replace the imported labor used for similar services and encourage Bhutanese youth to take up construction-related business activities.
Pemba is supported through the Loden-UNICEF Bhutan funding window. Loden Foundation in partnership with Youth Center Division of Department of Youth and Sports under the Ministry of Education and the UNICEF Bhutan conducts entrepreneurship training for out-of-school and unemployed youth each year and selects best business ideas from the training.
