Jigme holds an MA in Public Policy from Australian National University and an MBA in Human Resources Management from the University of Canberra. With over 16 years of experience working with the Royal Government of Bhutan and international agencies, he brings diverse expertise. In his free time, Jigme enjoys spending time with his children, playing football, and is passionate about gender issues, environment, climate change, waste management, and the educational needs of children with special needs.

Singye Tobden is a dedicated learner and the youngest staff, who successfully obtained a Diploma in Financial Management from the Royal Institute of Management and gained valuable experience as an intern in the Finance Department at Tsirang Dzongkhag. He eagerly welcomes new challenges and sees distinctions and setbacks as chances for his own personal growth and advancement.

Khandu has a Master’s degree in Buddhist philosophy. He worked as a Dzongkha teacher at Paro Dogar Phudrup Goenpa Shedra and Phuntshothang Middle Secondary School at Samdrup Jongkhar. He worked as a Dzongkha editor in various private media houses before joining Shejun in 2013.

Dorji Gyeltshen worked as a lecturer at College of Language and Culture Studies, RUB, teaching subjects like Bhutanese language, literature, culture, history, and Buddhist philosophy for seven years. He has served as Head of the Rigzhung Department and Coordinator of the Research Center for Buddhist Studies. Dorji is the author of several publications, and he has translated and edited numerous treatises and books. His most recent work is the Teacher and Student Manual for Dzongkha Academic Skills. He is currently leading the Loden Foundation’s culture programme.

After completing his monastic education in 2003, Tendel worked as Assistant Dzongkha Editor at KMT Press. He completed his higher secondary education in Language and Culture Studies in 2015. At Loden, Tendel handles publication and textual projects. He is among one of the only three textual experts trained in photographic documentation of old texts.

Karma Losel Yangnyen holds a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from the College of Natural Resources. Before joining the Loden Foundation, he worked as a Program Officer at the Samdrup Jongkhar Initiative, an organisation under the Civil Society Organization- Lhomon Society in Bhutan dedicated to empowering local communities in the region.

Monika is a dedicated professional with a Bachelor's degree in Finance from Royal Thimphu College. She has gained significant industry expertise through her time at JDL Mines & Minerals Private Limited. Displaying a robust work ethic, meticulous attention to detail, and unwavering dedication to achieving objectives, she sets a standard of excellence in her profession. Outside of work, she finds pleasure in pursuits such as photography, reading, engaging in DIY projects, and exploring hiking trails.

He is always up for a challenge, whether learning about new cultures and landscapes or delving into the depths of the human psyche through his writing. Choeying Dolma has a Master’s Degree in Development Practices from the College of Natural Resource, Bhutan. She worked as Community Engagement Officer at the National Center for Animal Health for two years. She has passion for research, and participated in a CARLEP research study funded by the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) that examines the factors that influence young people's involvement in the agribusiness industry. Besides work, she enjoys walking, embracing nature, and volunteering at dog shelters.

Kinley C Tenzin is a dynamic videographer and photographer ! Armed with certified expertise in WordPress Web Development, Marketing, and Designing from Forward School Malaysia and Refruit PVT LTD Singapore. Kinley represented Bhutan at the Jeju Youth Forum in 2017, held in the city of Jeju, Republic of Korea. With experience as an Asst. Programme/Communications Officer at the Bhutan Centre for Media and Democracy, Kinley brings a unique blend of professionalism and passion to his work.

Rinzin Tshomo from Ura village has worked as a facilitator at Ura ECCD since April 1, 2011, and continues to do so. She completed her education in 2007 and undertook a six-month IT course in 2008. In 2016, she participated in a five-day training program focused on empowering ECCD facilitators to create inclusive classrooms for special needs children in Bhutan. Additionally, she received training in parenting education in 2011, completed a materials development course in 2016, and attended a two-week basics course.

I am Pema Lhaden from Bumthang Ura. I completed class 10 in 2006 and joined Loden as an ECCD facilitator in July 2008. I completed a basic training course in ECCD in 2018 to enhance my knowledge and skills for guiding young children through their daily routines at the ECCD center. I also had the opportunity to attend parenting education at Ura Higher Secondary School in 2011.

Sangay Tshering is the founder of Green E-Solutions and a member of Association of Bhutan’s Cottage, Small and Medium Industries. He started his journey as a serial entrepreneur crossing numerous sectors and now focuses on his IT firm and dedicates time to civil societies. A firm believer in the concept of CARE and GIVING, Sangay wants to live a quality life. He has served as the President of Loden since 2021.

Lopen (Dr) Karma Phuntsho is a Buddhist scholar, thought leader, and the founder of the Loden Foundation. An author of numerous books, articles and cultural creations, he currently works as writer for Tsadra Foundation and spiritual director of Bodhitse Centre for Study and Contemplation.

Gérard, a graduate of HEC Paris and Stanford University, co-founded and directs the Loden Entrepreneurship Programme since 2008. With thirty-five years of international investment experience, he pioneered Venture Capital in Europe. He founded and managed Citicorp Venture Capital, Schroders Partenaires in Paris, and Sitka Ltd in London. Currently, he is a Senior Advisor with Mérieux Equity Partners, specializing in healthcare and nutrition. Gérard regularly visits Bhutan to mentor entrepreneurs and participate in selection processes.

Francoise Pommaret, PhD, is a cultural anthropologist, Director of Research at the CNRS (National Centre for Scientific Research, France) and Associate Professor at the College of Language and CultureS tudies, Royal University of Bhutan. In 2015, she was honored with the highest French award La Legion d’Honneur for her lifelong contribution to the relations between Bhutan and France.

Ngawang Gyeltshen is the founder of Bhutan Food, an agriculture ecosystem development startup with the vision to achieve food sovereignty for Bhutan through organic agriculture. As a stakeholder capitalist, he fervently believes in developing businesses that value creating positive developments in the society at large. Ngawang is a self taught Sumi-e artist. He had his debut exhibition at the Oita Prefectural Arts Museum, Oita, Japan. Ngawang is a One Young World Peace Ambassador.

Tshoki, a statistician and data analyst with over 15 years of experience, led Gross National Happiness surveys at the Centre for Bhutan Studies and GNH Research. She joined UNDP Bhutan as Head of Exploration for the Accelerator Lab, focusing on public service delivery, strategic foresight, and anticipatory governance. She has worked as data and policy analyst for Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative.

Phub Dorji is the CEO of Nyingnor, a strategic communications firm in Thimphu. He has worked as a consultant for communications projects and specialised training for several INGOs such as WHO and FAO, and other governmental and non-governmental agencies. As a digital marketing expert, Phub has worked with clients in nine countries. He also sits on the board of the Royal Society for Protection and Care of Animals.

Kezang is a founder of TingKarr Associates, TingKarr Bhutan Journeys and TingKarr Enterprises. He is a certified Chief Well-Being Officer and President of Bhutan’s first Toastmasters Club. He has a Bachelor of Engineering from IIT, Roorkee India and an MBA from Strathcylade, UK, and was the CEO of Institute of Management Studies, BETA Park, and more recently of Master Trainer at Institute of Happiness. He has worked for World Bank, SAARC Development Fund, ADB and the Royal Government of Bhutan.

Tenzin Pemo from Bumthang is the first child beneficiary of the Loden Foundation in 1999. She completed her school education from Jakar Higher Secondary School and completed a Bachelor of Education from Samtse College of Education. She is currently teaching history in Damphu Middle Secondary School. She is an active member of law and democracy clubs, a mentor for many students, and a member of RENEW’s Community Care Services.

The Loden Foundation is an organisation of people with shared interests, concerns and aspirations, and run through charitable donations and voluntary services. The mission and activities of Loden largely depend on voluntary contributions from a wide range of people. In addition to the board of trustees, the Loden Foundation has a network of longstanding stalwart supporters who contribute funds, time, expertise and resources generously. They represent Loden in different countries and cities, lead sustained fundraising initiatives, mobilise different kinds of resources, forge and maintain institutional connections, volunteer to train, guide and mentor our beneficiaries, and take part in regular evaluations to refine Loden’s programmes and goals.
