Dr Bidhya Nepal, 27.
From a very young age, I have always wanted to be a doctor. I didn’t just dream it, I worked for it. For those who perceive me now, they only see the white coat and the stethoscope around my neck, rather than the sleepless nights and the arduous hurdles I had to go through. It was tough but I was reluctant to give up because my parents believed in me more than I ever did. There were late nights where my mother would stay up with me. There were early mornings where my father would be there for me. Needless to say, I am grateful to my parents for making me the person that I am today. I must indicate that there will come a when you will have to sustain for yourself and be independent, so don’t take like casually and don’t make decisions that you will regret later. At present, it has been few months since I have joined Nganglam hospital, and I intend to work until I get an opportunity to go for further studies.
