The Loden Foundation’s motto, ཆོས་བདག་མེད་ཀུན་ལ་ཐོབ་ཐང་ཡོད།, a Buddhist proverb reminding us that knowledge belongs to no one and that everyone is entitled to it, guided the signing of a momentous Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Loden Foundation and Zhi-Shan Foundation on January 13, 2025.
This partnership, established under the School Sponsorship Scheme—a core initiative of the Loden Education Initiative—aims to nurture an equitable society where children, irrespective of their economic circumstances, can access quality education. Through this collaboration, Zhi-Shan Foundation will support 50 children in 2025 to meet their educational needs. This vital intervention will enable students from pre-primary to grade 12 to pursue their academic journeys without financial barriers. Founded on mutual trust and a shared commitment to transparency and impact, the MoU represents a joint effort to ensure every Ngultrum entrusted to this cause is spent wisely, directly benefiting Bhutan’s most needy children.
This collaboration is more than a financial agreement; it is a shared pledge to build a brighter, more just future for Bhutan’s youth. Guided by its mission to create a society where every child can learn, grow, and thrive, the Loden Foundation remains deeply committed to fostering hope, opportunity, and lasting societal progress.
