Ugyen Wangmo’s Handloom is a weaving based project that was first started to showcase women’s art of weaving in Bhutan. The founder, Ugyen Wangmo, has been weaving since she was 10 years old. The venture generates employments opportunities for many women and employs 7 permanent weavers from Khoma. The handloom also helps promoting the unique culture of Tha Zo, and offers products ranging from Gho, Kira, Keyra, in addition to custom-made products.
