After ten years as a driver for private and non-governmental organizations, Tshering Dorji founded Kuenga Deki Automobile Workshop in Trashi Yangtse. Before that, he had also worked as a mechanic at vehicle repair shops

Drawing on his experience in vehicle repair, he established the workshop to serve his community as the number of passing vehicles increased. Tshering also aims to provide training and employment opportunities for local youth.
