“WECARE” operates to reduce, recycle, and reuse paper and plastic waste to create a clean, healthy and litter free environment in Bhutan. The project covers major town areas of four Eastern districts: Mongar, Tashigang, Tashiyangtse and Lhuentse, and operates in line with the National Policy of Waste management focusing on organic waste management. WECARE waste management is showing a way towards a responsible waste management system in the Eastern region.
