Mr. Tharchen decided to create a Bhutanese Community Dairy Farm after recognizing Bhutan’s dependency on imported Indian dairy products .The Community Dairy Farm was thus created in the village of Daga Pela. The farm’s production has helped develop a sustainable economy around its community’s needs by providing a domestic supply of organic dairy products. Today this eco-friendly farm continues to adapt to new markets by adopting the technology of the pasteurization of milk and the standardized packaging of cheese and butter.
