Phuntsho Wangmo, a Class Ten graduate, has ten years of social entrepreneurial experience in production management and export/import business. Named Cottage-scale Entrepreneur of the Year 2020, she trained at Japan's Institute of Community Design on rural enterprise development and completed foundational training in accounting, costing, and marketing at the Royal Institute of Management.
Phuntsho owns Yaata Noodle, the only locally produced noodle in Thimphu's Wangsisina village, Mewang Gewog. She aims to revive Bhutanese cuisine and plans to export locally produced noodles. Through this business, she strives to empower women and differently-abled individuals by providing employment opportunities and encouraging them to become independent entrepreneurs.
