Pema Tshoki, a Motithang High School graduate with a business background, interned as a painter and salesperson at Tertoen Gallery in 2018. She also worked as a freelance model for Tertoen Travels Bhutan in 2012 and as a film liaison in 2018. Her business, Gen Sum Pasta, aims to produce high-quality pasta. Three siblings have joined forces to reduce pasta imports into Bhutan while producing and supplying pasta.

Gen Sum Pasta is a well-established company in Wangbama, Genekha Thimphu, with products on the market. The proposed project will start with Fusilli, Macaroni, and Elbow Pasta, then move on to other different shapes, such as Spaghetti and Penne Pasta, which are in high demand in the market as a means of expansion.

Gen Sum Pasta hopes to help the nation’s economy and advance the company’s goal of national food security.
