The plastic and paper scraps that fail to be properly recycled in Bhutan result in considerable waste and an environmental hazard. In order to address this issue, RECITI designed an inventive business model based on the waste management of plastic and paper scraps. Mr. Tshering Dorji purchased PET plastic crushing machines capable of transforming bottles into reusable material and therefore reducing the amount of waste dumped into landfills.
