“Jung Wa Zhi Jigdrel Ceramic”, located in the art hub of Thimphu, VAST, aims to promote and revive traditional Bhutanese ceramics using authentic pottery techniques. The founder of the ceramic center, Maiyesh Kumar Tamang who holds a Master in ceramics from India, believes in the need to uphold the use of traditional Bhutanese ceramics techniques: fifty young artists are trained in a course of five years to maintain these unique traditions alive.
