The Mugwort Solution, based at the Startup Center in Changzamtog, Thimphu, specializes in producing moxa floss from locally abundant Artemisia plants. The growing popularity of using traditional medicine for treating various diseases has attracted many companies to work out from allopathic medicine to homeopathy-having fewer side effects.

 Moxa floss, a cotton-like substance used in moxibustion therapy, plays a vital role in traditional medicine systems across China, Japan, Korea, and Southeast Asia. With the rising demand for natural therapies over allopathic medicine, the startup aims to leverage Bhutan’s wild Artemisia resources to promote wellness practices and boost the national economy through exports.
