“Gaa-Tyen Art and Craft Centre” is an innovative Bhutanese centre promoting Bhutan’s rich cultural and artistic heritage. The center sells authentic arts and crafts designed and made in the country. A number of items showcased at the centre are related to Bhutan’s historical figures such as Ngawang Namgyal and Lama Drukpa Kuenley. The centre also contributes to its community by undertaking renovation work in the villages of Lhakhangs and Chortens. The venture employs 18 rural youths who receive training based on Gyem Dorji’s 30 years of experience.
