Roshan, 26, Founder of Gyelrab Analytics
Roshan, 26, a forensic science graduate, faced limited job opportunities in his field in Bhutan. As a result, he decided to pursue his passion for entrepreneurship and attended various training and startup programmes. During these programmes, he recognised the need to better use data and data analytics in Bhutan, particularly in entrepreneurship. With a grant of just a hundred thousand, Roshan and Ugyen co-founded Gyelrab Analytics
In January 2023, Roshan joined the second cohort of #SpringboardPlus Programme, gaining the opportunity to attend critical training sessions and online learning sessions focused on product-market fit, e-commerce, crowdfunding, gender inclusivity and other crucial aspects of startup acceleration for six months.
On 31 May 2023, Roshan and 18 other aspiring and existing entrepreneurs pitched their business scaleup plans and how their businesses will contribute towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
Today, at the award ceremony of Springboard Plus 2023, Roshan bagged the second prize, winning a cash prize of Nu. 300,000/- for his business.
With the grant received, he plans to utilise the funding to hire developers and enhance machine learning capabilities, establishing a robust data infrastructure to help companies. This infrastructure will enable them to make data-driven decisions and drive their success.
“I am truly grateful for the opportunity to enhance my skills through the Springboard Plus Programme and witness its positive impact on our organisation. I wholeheartedly recommend this programme to anyone looking to improve their skills and make a substantial difference in their professional journey.”
