Urban Farm is Bhutan’s pioneering aeroponics tower farming startup. Urban Farm utilizes advanced aeroponics tower systems to revolutionize urban agriculture. This innovative method allows us to produce vegetables that are up to 15% more nutritious, with year-round availability and on-demand supply. Our system maximizes space and resource efficiency, enabling the cultivation of 32-70 plants per square meter using 90% less water and no soil, making it an optimal solution for urban settings.

Officially licensed on April 23, 2024, under license number 1053222, Urban Farm is based in Yoselpang, Thimphu. We have initiated operations with a small farm of 10 towers, where we are currently growing tomatoes, chilies, broccoli, cabbage, and spinach as part of our testing phase. Our mission is to provide Thimphu's urban residents with year-round access to fresh, nutritious vegetables, while equipping them with the necessary skills and tools for home cultivation. We envision becoming Bhutan's leading promoter, educator, manufacturer, and supplier of vertical tower farming technology.

Our target market includes 41,921 households within Thimphu Thromde, a population of 114,551, consisting of 55,555 females and 58,996 males. Additionally, we aim to serve 19 vegetable outlets and over 50 high-end hotels in Thimphu.
