My name is Kezang Dema, and I am from Wangdue Phodrang. I completed my high school education at Punakha Central School and will be joining Royal Thimphu College to pursue a B.Sc in Nursing and Midwifery as my professional course. I have grown up with immense love and support from my family, especially my mother, who has sacrificed her time, happiness, and peace to ensure I did not feel the absence of my father’s love. She has shouldered the roles of both mother and father. As a farmer, she worked tirelessly to provide me and my younger siblings with a better life, giving us her love and care, and ensuring we received a good education like all other kids.

Since my childhood, I have been interested in the medical field and helping others in need. Although I may lack certain skills to become a great nurse, I am confident that I can commit myself to this profession and become the best I can be for myself and the community.

After hitting rock bottom and experiencing many downfalls in my life, the Loden Foundation brought a ray of light to brighten my future. I am deeply grateful to every individual who has helped me achieve this milestone.
