“Waste Management” is transforming waste into a resource for the community of Trongsa rather than a burden. Chogyal Lhamo, an entrepreneur known for her activism in waste management since 2007, developed an integrated waste management system that divides renewable (transformed into compost) and non-renewable waste (crushed into waste skips for resale). The venture also collaborates with schools to engage students with waste management activities like recycling and composting as a way to sensitize them to their environment.
