Uma by COMO Bhutan supports one more female entrepreneurPosted on: April 14th, 2014
Uma by COMO Bhutan in Paro contributed US$ 4,000 to The Loden Foundation to support one female entrepreneur in 2014.
Bhutan’s first prayer flag printing press “Darzang Flags” business at Pasakha started by female entrepreneur, Rinzin Tshomo was partially supported by Uma by COMO Bhutan in 2013. With guidance from Loden mentors, her business has been picked up well and she is now making high quality, all cotton and, most importantly, religious accurate flags.
Pema Wangchuk, Special Executive says, “Empowering women through entrepreneurship is one of the best things we could do today to nurture the entrepreneurship culture in Bhutan”.
Uma by COMO Bhutan and The Loden Foundation is looking forward for further collaboration to uplift the livelihood of the community.
