Read to Light Bhutan

Loden Foundation in collaboration with a team of committed philanthropists and application developers from Thailand supported by our funding partner Bhutan Foundation and other stakeholders such as Disabled Persons’ Association of Bhutan(DPAB) and Ministry of Education will work together with the aim to bridge the gap for access to knowledge through creation of a digital facility of audio books for those in need.

The project, Read to Light Bhutan (RtLB) is an initiative to provide an improved access to books, both English and Dzongkha for people living with visual impairment or for people who face reading difficulties, by developing a tele-voice response system and a mobile application to voice record hundreds of books and provide easy access to it. We plan to launch the app by the end of this year.
