Loden Supports 14 More Aspiring Entrepreneurs With Capital FundPosted on: December 8th, 2014
Loden foundation has selected 14 aspiring entrepreneurs to be supported with collateral and interest free capital fund this year. The proposals were to start or scale up Eco-Tourism Initiatives in Zhemgang, Stone Carving in Samdrupjongkhar, Ceramics Production in Thimphu, Pharmacy in Tashigang, Employment Agency in Thimphu MediCall Services/Ticketing in Kolkata, Fram Stay in Mongar, Green Fibre Installation& Maintenance, Dairy Farm in Tashi Yangtsi, Waste Management in Trongsa, Dry cleaners & Laundry in Mongar , Cardamom farm in Dagana, Integrated Horticulture Farm in Mongar, Yoedpamey Studios in Thimphu.
Out of 150 proposals received for this year, 40 of them were shortlisted for pitching their ideas and 14 of them were selected for funding. The total fund for the year 2014 is over 10 million and they will be supported with other services like mentoring and training.
The Loden Entrepreneurship Programmme (LEP) is a business education project launched in 2007. Till date it has funded 77 business projects in various parts of Bhutan.
