Loden supports 13 more aspiring entrepreneurs with capital fundPosted on: December 24th, 2013
Loden foundation has selected 13 aspiring entrepreneurs to be supported with collateral and interest free capital fund. They will also be provided with designated trained national and international mentors for continuous mentoring and monitored on regular basis by Loden staff.
Each year, Loden foundation conducts business concept competition after providing two to three rounds of customized trainings on fundamentals of entrepreneurship to the youths and aspiring entrepreneurs. Out of 108 proposals received for this year, 36 of them were shortlisted for personal interview and 13 of them were selected for funding.
Pema Wangchuk, Offtg. Executive Director of Loden Foundation says that most of the proposals were found worth supporting but due to the fund constraint, only 13 proposals were supported for this year.
“I am grateful to Loden Foundation for having selected my business concept and deciding to finance it as well. My idea would not have seen the light of the day without Loden foundation.” said one of the candidates whose proposal was selected this year.
Out of 13 proposals only two are based in Thimphu and rest are all in other dzongkhags.
