Loden Mentorship TrainingPosted on: June 29th, 2015
With support from the Entrepreneurship and Self Employment Division under MoLHR, The Loden Foundation conducted three-day mentoring training from 22-24 June 2015 in Thimphu. The training was aimed at building a pool of committed mentors who are passionate about giving back to the society by helping budding entrepreneurs.
The training covered a range of topics such as entrepreneurship scenario in Bhutan, concepts of mentorship and how Buddhist values and principles could be applied to do ethical businesses and for creating a vibrant entrepreneurial culture in Bhutan. The training was conducted by local experts and Mr John Cull, the mentoring advisor to Youth Business Internationals, UK. As prt of the training, participants have visited some of the projects supported Loden and also paid a brief visit to ‘Entrepreneurship Incubation Unit’ in Thimphu Tech Park.
The training was hugely successful. Participants showed open-handed support to help budding entrepreneurs. Loden will soon appoint these mentors to support budding entrepreneurs. A total of 31 participants (12 female & 19 male) with business experience ranging from 3-5 years have attended the training.
