Loden Entrepreneurship Training in BumthangPosted on: April 9th, 2015
Loden’s two-day entrepreneurship crash course in Bumthang was a huge success. A total of about 50 participants attended the programme wherein some participants came all the way from Phuntsholing and Thimphu. A group of 16 students from the Institute of Language and Culture form Take College, Royal University of Bhutan also took part in the training.
The participants were oriented on the basic aspects of entrepreneurship such as spotting business opportunity, creative thinking, marketing, leadership in business, business strategy, proposal writing etc. by a pool of resource person comprising of both local and international experts. Through such trainings, Loden intends to educate young Bhutanese men and women on entrepreneurial skills to help mitigate rising youth unemployment by encouraging self-employment.
Loden will continue to organize similar crash courses in other parts of the country to make it accessible to different sections of the society and lessen the Thimphu centric trainings. The training will be soon followed by a competition for interest free capital seed money start new ventures. So, far Loden has supported 76 projects in 18 different districts.
