Loden-DHI Fund (second round)Posted on: March 13th, 2016
DHI and the Loden Foundation mutually collaborated to jointly promote entrepreneurship in Bhutan by creating a separate financing window called ‘Loden-DHI Fund’ under the Loden Foundation which was launched in September 2015, where DHI provided a fund of Nu.7 Million to Loden Foundation for the year 2015. Nine business proposals in the sector of food processing, manufacturing, agriculture, IT, amongst others were selected in different parts of the country.
With the successful disbursement of the first Loden-DHI Fund, DHI will now be providing a fund of Nu. 7 Million for the Second Loden-DHI Fund for the year 2016.
The Loden-DHI Fund provides collateral and interest free loans to entrepreneurs interested in starting a new business or expanding an existing business which are viable and will lead to the formation of large size, high growth companies in Bhutan. The program aims to combat the rising youth employment and contribute towards economic development.
The call for proposals for the second round of Loden-DHI Fund has been made.
