Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) 18-24 November 2013

Posted on: November 2nd, 2013

Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) is the world’s largest campaign to promote entrepreneurship globally. Loden Foundation with other stakeholders in Bhutan joined the global community to observe GEW for the first time in 2012. .

The event was a great success in promoting the awareness of entrepreneurship in the country in general and among the youth in particular. Through 27 educational activities and events in partnership with 9 organisations, we have managed to introduce entrepreneurship to over 3000 people across the country, give intensive week-long training to over 400 youth, run daily public discussions and debates on entrepreneurship, organize an essay competition and a fair of enterprises.

Given this success, we would like to repeat this celebration of innovation and enterprise again this year with the same objective of promoting the spirit of entrepreneurship and self-employment between 18-24 November. During the week-long campaign, we hope to organize a series of lectures, talks, discussions, workshops, exhibitions and broadcasts in educational institutions, media houses and public offices on the entrepreneurship involving a wide range of people.

Thus, Loden would like to seek the support and collaboration from any stakeholders or private individuals in organizing the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW). We are open to discussing the mode of support and collaboration to make the week a vibrant and fruitful.
