16 new entrepreneurs supported in 2018

There is a movement of young Bhutanese exploring opportunities to become self-employed and create employment for other youth rather than looking for the limited jobs available. At Loden, we remain committed to make sure these young people get the much needed support through our interest and collateral free loan up to Nu. 1.5 million.

In 2018, we are thrilled to announce that we have supported 16 more entrepreneurs through our call for proposals made in spring and in fall.

Here are the 10 entrepreneurs who got selected in our Spring selection out of which 9 received the interest and collateral free loan. Here are their brief bio on our website and on the e-newsletter we sent out in May 2019.

Here are the 7 entrepreneurs who got selected in our Fall selection last year. Here are their brief bio on our website and on the e-newsletter we sent out in December 2018.

As of December 2018, Loden has funded 159 businesses our of which 53 are women entrepreneurs. The businesses are in various sectors including agriculture, environment, technology, tourism, traditional crafts, fashion, education, well-being and health.

While we offer our Tashidelek and congratulations to the 16 new entrepreneurs we hope they will become successful and inspiration to young people. We also wish to thank all of our supporters for making this happen.
